Comments make the site a viable media which allows users to speak about what is on their mind about a specific topic. The only thing I have mixed emotions on is that which implies porn, unacceptable verbs and etc. The comments should allow for as much free speech as can be allowed by our constitutional rights. Site manager should not moderate what said manager may consider innuendo, slander, and plain criticism. That is for the ‘forum’ to sort out. The users true eMail address which will not be published can serve as an identifier for the site manager to use for policing purposes.

I have been reading COMMENTS on Worcester telegram Stories and the concept has gotten way out of hand it reseambles a bar room Brawl than a discussion.

So I’d vote for elimenation of comments an expanded letter to the editor section to deal with opinons and discussion of issues with your full name added to all letters not just some screen nom de plume !

You need to rationally think out the content of a letter when a comment is just that a quick knee jerk response !

I have to agree with Kevin. If you have something to say, you should be willing to identify yourself, as with Letters to the Editor. This helps to keep the conversation civil and individuals accountable for their words.
