The Board further acknowledged Bob Brunstetter (Military Bronze Star Recipient) by announcing December 7 as ‘Bob Brunstetter Day’!
Also, the Board voted by majority to allow a letter to be prepared and signed by the Board, asking the DOR for an extension of time to send out 3rd quarter tax bills, if necessary. However, the DOR may ultimately allow for an automatic extension due to the unprecedented backup of towns needing certification of tax rates.
They announced that the Comfort Inn would not be renewing their alcohol license for the coming year, so a license is available by application.
Dawn Rand voiced concern on the number of temporary signs and sandwich boards around town and asked if Zoning Enforcement to monitor the signs.
The town has named a new sub-committee and is looking for members to participate in the naming of schools including Algonquin.


Good for Dawn Rand. Sometimes signs are blocking the vision of drivers at intersections, something I have photographed a few times. And, they are aesthetically abysmal. There must be a more creative way small businesses can get their messages out. But in the short run, lets at least have enforcement!
