Obituary: Tim Porter

Timothy J. Porter, 49, of Northborough, formerly of South Hadley, died Wednesday, December 23, 2009.
Timothy is survived by his companion, Jean Foster, with whom he lived; his former wife, Kimberly Gladding of Hadley; his three children, Atticus and Portia Porter of Hadley and Katherine Foster of Northborough; his father, Albert M.P Porter, Jr. of North Dartmouth and his late mother, Ann Ainsley; two brothers, Patrick Porter and his wife, Jill of Natick and Jeremy Porter and his wife, Suzanne of North Andover; his sister, Jane Rosseau and her husband, Glenn of Lakeville; as well as many nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles. Tim was born and raised in New Bedford and had been a resident of Northborough for the past year and a half, prior to that he lived in South Hadley and Amherst.

Tim was a veteran who served in the U. S. Coast Guard and was stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Mystic, CT.

Tim graduated from New Bedford High School in 1978 and was an outstanding track athlete. He worked for the R.J. Carbone Co., at the Boston Flower Exchange for the past seven years. He was a member of the Northborough Trails Committee and St. Rose of Lima Church.
