Relay for Life is a 24 hour walk-a-thon for the American Cancer Society to be held at the Algonquin track. They will be hosting a kickoff rally to find volunteers who want to help with the planning as well as team and individual walkers. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life® of Northborough-Southborough will officially get underway as event volunteers and participants gather at Algonquin Regional High School on Tuesday, February 9th for a kickoff rally to launch their fundraising efforts for the year. The rally will explain how volunteers can get involved and feature food, prizes, and raffles. Kick-off celebration begins at 7:00p.m.– join the fun!
The world’s largest grassroots fundraising movement, Relay For Life mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and provide participants with an opportunity to fight back against the disease.
The Relay For Life of Northborough-Southborough is currently seeking local residents from Northborough and Southborough and the surrounding communities to serve as committee members, team captains, and volunteers for the May 14th event. Anyone interested in joining the planning committee, becoming a team captain, volunteering or just finding out more about Relay For Life is encouraged to attend the kickoff.
