Kid’s Art Contest

Hey kids—win this brand new art contest and have your masterpiece published on the front cover of Recreation Department’s 2010 Fall Brochure!  Here’s your chance to become a famous artist in our community!

DETAILS * Who’s Eligible:  Kids in grades K-5 in Fall 2010, in Northborough and surrounding communities.  There is no fee to enter.  Family members of Town Hall employees are not eligible.  Only one entry per person is allowed.

* To Enter:  Submit your original artwork to Recreation Department, 63 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532.  Please include your name, grade in Fall 2010, full address and telephone number with area code.

* Criteria:  Original artwork only is allowed.  Submission must be two-dimensional and no larger in size than 8” x 8”.  Submitted artwork may not be digitally or otherwise altered.  Suitability of artwork for acceptance into the promotion shall be at the sole discretion of Northborough Recreation, who reserves the right to reject any entry deemed inappropriate or in any way unsuitable.  By entering the promotion, participants agree to grant Northborough Recreation ownership of the artwork submitted, along with rights to said artwork in publicity, publishing, and/or marketing efforts in perpetuity with no notice, further permission from, or compensation due to the entrant. By entering, participants agree that Northborough Recreation has the right to post the first and last name  and grade level of the child who created the winning entry.

* Prize:  The creator of the winning entry will have his creation published on the front of the 2010 Fall Recreation brochure, will receive a $100 gift certificate towards Northborough Recreation’s programming, and will have a ’biography’ page in the 2010 Fall Brochure. Only 1 prize will be awarded.

* Deadline to enter:  All entries must be received no later than Thursday, July 1.

* Notification:  The Winner will be notified no later than Thursday, July 29.
