If you have not had the opportunity or haven’t heard, this year’s budget has been produced in book form and is available to the public. The Town Budget Books are available for viewing at Town Clerk’s office, Library, and Town Administrator’s office.
In preparation of participating in the Government Financial Officers’ Association’s (GFOA) Distinquished Budget Award, the FY2011 budget provides enhanced transparency of town financial data. This book details a great deal of information about our budget and town government: organizational charts, department’s function descriptions, line budgets actual FY2007 to FY 2011 budget, employee counts, accomplishments and goals for next year. The format is nicely done, and is interesting reading.
