The Peaslee Elementary School Math Olympiad Team just wrapped up their season with a closing ceremony on June 14th. Overall, 31 fourth and fifth grade students participated on the team led by parents Jim and Kirsten Forbush and Algonquin Senior Kurt Schultz. The students participated in a series of five monthly contests of 5 problems each, from November to March, and weekly practice sessions. Special recognition goes to the top scorers on the team: Erika L, Rebecca W, Jennifer L, Luke F, Dylan Z and Zachary Y. Each year the Math Olympiads serves over 100,000 students on nearly 5,000 teams nationally (www.moems.org).
