State Representative Harold P. Naughton, Jr. (D-Clinton) is announcing Meghan Kilcoyne of Sterling and Meghan McInnis of Northborough will be interning in his office this summer.
Kilcoyne and McInnis will be involved all in aspects of the office including legislative duties, community outreach and constituent services.
As volunteers, interns will also be involved in the political campaign experience.
“Our interns are a great addition to the team. I hope they can have a great experience and really learn a lot about politics and the legislative process. I am honored to have two local students join our office for the summer and look forward to working together,” Rep. Naughton said.
“I am very honored to be interning for Rep. Naughton this summer. In the few weeks since I started, I have already learned so much about the functions and processes of government. It is interesting to see things I studied about actually come in to play in the real world. I know it will be a great experience and I hope it will help me decide what I want to study in college,” Meghan McInnis said.
Meghan Kilcoyne graduated this past spring from Stonehill College in Easton, Massachusetts with Bachelors of Arts in History. Kilcoyne is a 2006 graduate of Wachusett Regional High School in Holden. At WRHS, Kilcoyne played on the Varsity Field Hockey team.
Meghan McInnis is a 2010 graduate of Algonquin Regional High school . This fall, McInnis will be a freshman at Providence College in
Providence, Rhode Island. McInnis played soccer and softball at ARHS and was a member of the National Honor Society.
