School’s out and summer is in full swing, but it’s not to early to starting thinking about the fall…
The Cultural CouncilĀ will be seeking funding grant proposals for the coming year, which will be due by October 15th (postmark deadline) for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community.
The Northborough Cultural Council is a council of volunteers who administers Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) grant funds. We accomplish these goals by reviewing Grant Applications from individuals, schools, and arts organizations and awarding MCC grant funds to projects that provide a local public benefit through arts, humanities and sciences programs in Northborough.
The Council selects applications based on the following:
- Priority is given to organizations physically located in and primarily serving the residents of Northborough.
- Collaborative sponsorship; i.e. 2 or more local organizations working together to request support for a program.
- New, fresh ideas that add variety & diversity to programs offered locally.
- Events that help meet the needs of under served parts of the community.
- Applications that list matching funds from another source.
- Applications that don’t assume year-after-year funding.
- Proposals supportive of town-wide traditions such as Applefest.
