Invitation to a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony For Erection of the Meteorological Tower

Dear Northborough Residents,
It is with great pride and pleasure that we, the members of the Northborough Wind Turbine Committee, invite you to attend the inauguration ceremony for our “met” tower, which is a major milestone in completing the feasibility study portion of our project to potentially erect a wind turbine and pay a significant portion of the town’s municipal electric energy bills!

It is important to recognize that, to date, our work has not cost the town a penny and will not do so, until the project is proven feasible and accepted by the voters. We plan to meet on Thursday, August 5th at 2 PM for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the base of the Meteorological Tower located off Ball Hill Road on the Tougas farm property. Several representatives of the town, state and federal government will also be in attendance.

In order to provide sufficient parking space, please RSVP with the Town Engineer’s office telephone 508-393-5015. The attached map provides directions and casual summer dress is recommended including footwear appropriate for an open farm field. If your schedule can accommodate attendance at the ceremony, please join us!
