Library Survey – Due September 10

The library is working on a long range plan, due October 1 to our state agency.  As part of the plan, we are gathering some information in a survey.  Can you help?  We have paper copies in the library, and will have them in the Senior Center and Town Hall.  Or go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/5K58SVD   The survey is only one page long with six questions.  We are already receiving some responses, so thanks to those who took a few minutes to answer the questions, especially the comments and suggestions.

Making Memories Art Exhibit

During the month of September we have a multi-media art display in our meeting room featuring works by children and adults who have been recipients of organ transplants.  Come in and take a look!  This is the New England Organ Bank’s first traveling art exhibit.

We Need Shelvers!

Our next training session for volunteer shelvers will be held on Tuesday, September 21, at 3 p.m.  The training takes approximately 1.5 hours.  We ask for a 2-hour a week, three month commitment, to put away books in the adult areas.  (Contact Pat Link in the Children’s Room if you’d like to help out there.)  Previous volunteers are welcome to continue their shelving!  We will accept teenagers who are at least 15 years old.  Shelving requires physical strength, and the ability to stoop and reach.
