Northborough Lion’s Club meets on the first & third Tuesdays of each month 6PM – 8PM at  A.J. Tomaiolo’s Italian Restuarant

Northborough Rotary Club meetings occur Tuesdays at the Celtic Tavern at 12:15, the community is welcome to attend to learn more about the club.

Youth 7-15:   Fall baseball and softball registration will open in mid-August.  Spring 2010 registration will open in September and tryouts for the Spring 2010 Major, AAA, and AA baseball assignments will be held in early- to mid-October. Link to site

Alzheimer’s Caregiver’s Support Group, open and free to the community, held the second Monday of each month from 6:30pm to 8:00pm located in Marlborough.  Initial telephone screening is required.  Please call Tammy Pozerycki at 508-335-1968 to inquire.

Breast Cancer Support Group Please call Sheila Courchaine, RN at 508-485-3757 or e-mail her at ssus13@yahoo.com to sign up. This ongoing support group provides educational and emotional support for women coping with breast and other forms of cancer.  The group meets the first Wednesday of the month at the hospital from September through June.

Diabetes Support Group meets on the last Tuesday of each month at 1 pm in the Senior Center (no meetings July and August)

Northboro Contra Dance:  Held at 1st Parish Unitarian Church at 40 Church Street, New and experienced dancers welcome. No need to bring partner. Live music 8 to 11pm, arrive 15 minutes early for instruction. $8 pp, $6 student with ID, $18 family, dates scheduled for 10/17, 11/21, 12/19, 1/16, 2/20, 3/20, 4/17, 5/15,  check the site for updates:  link to site,

Contra Dance Worcester on Saturday, October 10, features Jumpstart with Jeff Petrovich calling. Beginners’ lessons at 7:30, dancing 8-11 pm at Wesley Methodist Church, 114 Main Street, Worcester.  Admission $8; students $6; children 12 and under free. Family friendly, alcohol free.  Information at link to site or 508-853-4351. The Worcester Contra Dance usually takes place on the second Saturday of every month from September through June. There are exceptions for holidays and other events, so remember to check the schedule!  Other dances scheduled on 11/14, 1/9, 2/13, 3/13, 4/10, 5/8, 6/12

Moms and More, meetings are held at Whitney Place, 238 W Main st,  generally on the second Thursday and the last Tuesday of each month.  Meeting time is 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm.  Meetings are without children (exception: non-mobile infants), and childcare is not provided.   Visitors are welcome to attend two Chapter Meetings as our guest before deciding to join.

Northborough Area Community Chorus is now in its 38th season and will be presenting a Christmas concert on December 6th and a Spring concert on May 2nd.   Rehearsals are on Tuesdays, 7:30 to 9:30pm at Algonquin Regional, prospective members are welcome to go to a rehearsal to learn more about the chorus.  There are no tryouts involved, they are especially in need of basses and tenors.  Since NACC is an adult organization, members must be 18+.  Membership dues is $10.00 per year with an initial new member registration fee of  $10.00. Assabet Valley Juggling Club Meets every Tuesday 7-9pm in the Parish Hall at the First Parish Unitarian Church.  Our club welcomes anyone of any age or skill level who juggles or would like to learn to juggle.  Join us to have some fun, get some exercise, make new friends, and learn or practice the wonderful art of juggling! 13-week DivorceCare Video Seminar at Grace Baptist Church on Thursdays beginning January 7, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in Room 213/215.    DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K), designed for kids ages 6 – 12, will run simultaneous to the Adult program in Room 111.    The DivorceCare Seminar cost is $20 for the adult program and $15 for the kids program.  For additional information, contact Louise Hale at (978) 562-8550 (ext 112) or lhale@gracehudson.org.
